Arrest in School Break-in

Rutherford County Sheriff Deputies responded to Harris Elementary School in reference to a security alarm, just before 2am Monday morning.

As deputies were checking the building a subject was seen running from the school. Deputies gave chase but lost the subject in the woods.

Rutherford County Sheriff Detectives were able to gather information from the crime scene and interviews to develop a suspect of Matthew Dillon Graybill, 21 years old.

Graybill was later arrested at his home after confessing to breaking into the school.

Graybill was charged with (1) count Possession of Burglary Tools, (1) count Breaking and Entering, (1) count Larceny After Break/Enter, (2) counts Damage Coin/Currency Machine and (2) counts Break Coin/Currency Machine. Bond was set at $17,000.00 secured.
