4th of July Parade Planning

It’s that time again as we begin preparing for the Hendersonville 4th of July parade which will be on Thursday this year.

The event celebrates our freedom and those who have fought for the right of our freedom.

This event is a family friendly event and the event is open to all.

If you are interested in participating, decorate in red, white, and blue, wave those flags, get out the bicycles, tricycles, wagons, and decorate the family vehicle.

Join us in celebrating our freedom.

The fee for the event is $10 per parade entry (If your entry will have more than five units such as cars, motorcycles, horses, etc., we request that you pay the appropriate entry fees.)

The proceeds will go towards the Veteran’s Restoration Center.

Entry deadline is June 27, 2013.

The parade will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. The parade staging area will be located on Oakland Street and 64th Avenue.

Applications for the event may picked up at the old Federal Building located on 5th Street.

Parade entry packages will be available on Friday, June 28 at the old Federal Building.

For questions, please contact the parade coordinator Cindy Daye at (828) 575-4171 or Carolyn Serrano at (828) 692-4179.
