Blue Ridge Parkway Closed
A crack in the Blue Ridge Parkway has forced rangers to close a 20-mile stretch of it.
The Parkway is closed from milepost 375 to 355 at Mount Mitchell State Park.
A ranger says he noticed the crack in the road on Friday.
The crack is about 100 yards long and at least 6 feet deep.
Rangers say engineers will look at the road to determine how to go about fixing it.
Rangers say there is no timetable right now on when the Parkway will be back open.
