Carolina Brotherhood Rides Into Town
A bicycle ride raising money for the families of fallen officers in the Carolinas rolls into Asheville.
This is the second year for the Carolina Brotherhood ride.
The bikers have pedaled nearly 700 miles across North and South Carolina, honoring 6 fallen officers.
The bike ride began last year in memory of Asheville firefighter Captain Jeff Bowen.
This year the Carolina Brotherhood decided to expand it to include law enforcement officers.
Mark Jameson, Asheville Firefighter, "the fire department is a brotherhood and we didn't want to have it just restricted to just us so we're riding for others who couldn't."
The ride started in Rocky Mount North Carolina, went across the state and into parts of South Carolina, and it will end tomorrow in Boone.
