Waiting For Justice
A man charged with driving more than 100 mph and killing a driver has his murder case delayed. Jackie Lunsford faces second-degree murder charges in the death of Michelle Collins.
But family members say its hard to believe its taking more than a year to bring Lunsford to justice. Martha Collins frequently visits a memorial at the scene of the crash that took her daughters life on Highway 213 near Marshall. She says she finds comfort from the large pink cross and flowers friends of Michelle have left at the site.
Last Friday night, she joined family and friends at the site to mark the one year anniversary of the tragic crash that took Michelles life. She says the lengthy court process of bringing Jackie Lunsford is often unbearable.
Martha Collins and her family, along with a representative of Mother's Against Drunk Driving, came to the Madison County Courthouse for Jackie Lunsfords court appearance today. The judge continued the case until November 18th. At that time, a trial date could be set for Lunsford.
