Playground Built in a Day
They say Rome wasn't built in a day, but a playground in Nebo was.
Saturday, more than 200 volunteers joined forces at Nebo Crossing to give children in the community a place to have fun.
People spent hours bolting, hammering, pouring concrete and spreading mulch.
The playground project was funded by Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust with help from Kaboom.
Pastor Bob Ritter says it's inspiring to see folks come together to give back to local kids.
Pastor Bob Ritter, "it's going to mean the world. We got an elementary school up the street. A lot of kids in this community, not to mention the kids at the church, a private school on the church property, so this playground is going to get used a lot and we invite the community to come out and use it."
The new playground will officially be ready on Tuesday. It accommodates up to 65 kids at once and will be open to the public.
