Crash Victims Remembered
Family and friends of a mother and daughter mourn their deaths in an accident Wednesday on Highway 9.
Jessica Van Greene has known Andreah Frost and her family since high school. Andreah was driving the car that hit a tree at high speed Wednesday while passing two other cars. The accident killed Andreah and her mother, Kathy Norton. Norton's youngest daughter, Jesse, and the driver of another car were badly hurt.
The crash came just days before one of them was going to celebrate a big event in her life. Andreah was getting married this weekend.
Neighbors say the stretch of road where the crash happened can be dangerous. Troopers say the speed limit on that stretch of Highway 9 is 55 mph. The NCDOT says it's willing to take a look at it to determine if it needs to be reduced.
