Bronze Sculptures Reinstalled
Sculptures that were taken down in front of the U.S. Cellular Center are returning home. The sculptures are part of the Urban Trail and are aptly called Appalachian Stage. The bronze dancers and musicians have been there since 1999, but were removed while the center is undergoing renovations. Now they're being reinstalled after getting some much needed repairs and restoration work from a conservator. The restoration work cost over $27,000 and was funded by the city's public art maintenance and repair budget.
