Detectives have launched a new search for a suspect in the decade-old case of four people murdered in an Upstate motorcycle shop. They believe someone upset with the dealership may have committed the murders, and they're asking anyone who knows about an angry customer of the Superbikes Motorsports dealership to give them a call.
The murders happened November 6th, 2003 around 3 p.m. A shooter entered the Suzuki dealership on Parris Bridge Road and killed the owner, Scott Ponder, his mother, Beverly Guy, and two mechanics, Brian Lucus and Chris Sherbert.
Detectives say robbery does not appear to be the motive for the shootings, and since everyone in the shop was killed, it appears the entire dealership was the target. Detectives are now focusing on finding anyone who knew about a disgruntled customer and the vehicle they may have been driving ten years ago at the shop.
They've released a composite picture of a possible suspect in the hopes it may jog someone's memory of the tragedy in November 2003. They plan to release other information on the upcoming anniversary in the hopes of generating leads for a suspect.
