Weekend Scrabble Tournament
Dozens competed for the last word this weekend, in a Scrabble showdown.
The 8th annual A-1 Autumn Leaves tournament was held in Asheville.
More than 70 serious "Scrabblers" represented 15 states. The focused participants used chess-clocks with software serving as word-judges. It's a popular event for all ages.
Jacob Cohen, tournament director, "the fun is because you love the game you love words you love competing you love the strategy."
The number-one Scrabble player in North America participated in the tournament.
Winners received cash prizes and handcrafted clipboards.
