Mayor Bellamy's Council Farewell
Tuesday night marked the last City Council meeting for Asheville Mayor Terry Bellamy.
Last year, Mayor Bellamy announced her intentions to run for Congress instead of seeking reelection.
During her remarks at the council meeting, Bellamy said she feels grateful for the opportunity to serve the city for 14 years.
She received a standing ovation.
On November 5th, voters elected Vice Mayor Esther Manheimer to fill Bellamy's seat.
She will be sworn in on December 10th.
