Tricky Thanksgiving Travel

Slick roads and possible snow will make traveling tricky this turkey day. AAA Carolinas says more people will travel on the roads this year compared to last Thanksgiving. In fact, 90 % of North Carolinians traveling this week are expected to drive to their Thanksgiving dinner.

The changing weather has some families changing Thanksgiving plans. The Hick's family is expecting 10 out of town guests, but bad weather might keep people off the roads.

"That's disappointing because I was really looking forward to a lot of people at our table," said Anna Hicks of Hendersonville.

If roads are safe enough to travel the next couple of days, families will save a little money. The average price of gas is eight cents less than last Thanksgiving and 28 cents cheaper than it was on Labor Day.
