Murder Suspect in Court
A Buncombe County man, accused of killing his wife, made his first court appearance just before noon today.
Brian Jones faces first degree murder charges in the death of Lynn Jones.
Jones appeared before a judge in district court this morning for his first court appearance on the murder charges.
The judge told him if convicted, he could face death or life in prison.
This case began yesterday afternoon when Lynn Jones' daughter went to her home in Fletcher. She found her mother's body wrapped in a tarp in the back bedroom.
Deputies launched a search for her husband, a person of interest. He was found in Henderson County early yesterday evening.
This morning another daughter of Lynn Jones talked to us about the sentence Brian Jones should receive if he's convicted.
Ashley Warden, victim's daughter, "I hope he gets death, I hope he never gets out, I hope he rots in there, honestly, cause I have nothing else to say to him."
Ashley Warden and her family plan to attend all of the court appearances ahead for Brian Jones.
Jones is being held without bond in the Buncombe County jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 23rd.
