A house had to be demolished after heavy summer rains caused it to slide off its foundation. The driveway and the house on Black Oak Drive near Beaverdam began sliding down the slope because of flooding in July. The home was demolished late last month. Barriers have been put up to prevent more mud from sliding down the mountain. A section of road above the property is also still closed after part of it collapsed. There's a chunk of pavement missing, but the other lane is still open. It's not clear how soon the road will be fully repaired.
