Home Depot Employees Help Manna
Volunteers at Manna Foodbank got a big helping hand from Home Depot. Managers for the home improvement company from across the southeast went to work Wednesday morning filling gift boxes. They were in Asheville for meetings and felt it was important to live the company's core values of giving back. It was a hands on project Home Depot associates were excited to accept.
"Home Depot is very proud to live the values and it's something that we all in every aspect wanted to give back to our community," said Home Depot senior director Elisia Tummings.
The Home Depot team sorted 15,000 pounds of paper products and a little more than 1,000 pounds of food.
