Post-Christmas Sales & Returns
After the slowest holiday shopping season since the height of the recession in 2009, stores are trying something new.
To make up for lost profits, many retailers have either extended their hours through the weekend, or they have huge sales going on.
At some stores, these deals rival and even surpass what we saw on Thanksgiving and black Friday.
Joe Frey, Arden, "a lot of times we'll come after Christmas because there are a lot of things on sale."
Faith Hare, Fletcher, "a lady cannot go into a store and not look around."
Sales were disappointing for retailers this year, likely in large part due to a shortened holiday season, with Thanksgiving falling so late in November.
