Snow Day Camp
Because classes were canceled for many students, many of those parents were forced to either take the day off or scramble to figure out a plan "b"
The Stephen's Lee Community Center held an emergency Snow Day Camp. It got crowded Tuesday after area schools called last-minute snow days more than a dozen parents showed up. They paid $5, packed a lunch for their kids, dropped them off and headed to work.
Many kids showed up again Wednesday after some parents were caught off guard.
"They were sort of stressed today because they were only thinking it was a 2 hour delay because that's what it said yesterday," said Sawyer Rodnival of Jones Elementary.
Even if there wasn't too much snow left in some spots, you could still get a sled down a hill. That's what many kids did this afternoon.
