Black Ice Concerns
Public works and NCDOT crews spent Wednesday cleaning up after Tuesdays big snow storm.
Plow trucks worked to clear snow and ice from main roads and interstates. Secondary roads around Asheville were still slick on Tuesday afternoon. Now that the temperature has dropped, the snow and slush has refroze and have turned roads into a solid sheet of ice. Drivers say they were taking it slow and keeping an eye out for black ice.
The NCDOT says they will monitor road conditions throughout the night.
