LiveWell: Holly Headrick

If you've decided to lose weight, or be more healthy in 2014, News 13 wants to help you out. Over the next few months, we will be talking about what good health means and encouraging you to live well. News 13's Holly Headrick generally lives by three rules. She tries to eat right, exercise and get eight hours of sleep every night. Of course, she says, she cheats a little bit, like most people.

Check out Holly's routine:
When your day starts in the dark, especially at 2:00 am, I find preplanning leads me to a healthier lifestyle and no worries.
My hakuna matata lunchbox has everything I need to start my morning with a yogurt, cereal bar and piece of fruit to give me energy.
I also keep a water bottle by my side at all times.
When I get home, dinner is on my mind and cooking is key.
I rarely eat out, but doesn't a big steak and cheese sandwich sound good?
Ill make it right here, with my best friend, the crock pot.
Lean London broil goes in with reduced sodium beef broth.
Plus, lots of green peppers, onion, mushrooms and jalapenos for some kick.
This is going to be a great meal that's much healthier and cheaper than you would buy out.
Then, I'm off for a run.
I've been running since my cheerleading and cross country days in high school. 
What's great is, one lap around my neighborhood is exactly a half mile, so it's easy to map out a 5K.
I also use the "Map My Run" app on my phone.
It tracks your route, distance and time.
And after my run, I generally walk two more miles with these little three pound weights for toning.
I know my neighbors get a good laugh!
Finally, I need a good night's sleep.
I try to always get a solid eight hours, because as you know, it's important for me to be rested and ready to be live at 4:30.
