Winter Storm Cancels Flights
This giant of a storm wound-up hitting air travel hard with thousands of flights canceled. The major airports in the mountains and the Upstate were not immune.
Even with a runway that's been plowed and operational throughout this storm and improving weather, the domino-effect continues. The Asheville to Charlotte connection is still non-existent. All U.S. Airways flights were canceled. Most of Delta's we're grounded too.
It's not just Asheville Regional. It's very slow-going for Greenville-Spartanburg International as well. Some flights started moving Thursday morning, but the list of cancellations and delays dominates.
