Polk Deputy Charged With DWI
A mountain sheriff's deputy is accused of driving drunk.
Spindale Police say Polk County Reserve Officer, John Friday, was speeding in a blue Mustang early Sunday morning. The arrest report says when an officer pulled the car over, Friday admitted to drinking 8 to 10 beers. Officers say he blew a .14.
Friday was charged with driving while impaired. Polk County Sheriff's Department says he was terminated.
Friday had been a reserve deputy there for about a year.
